DJ Rashad has been instrumental to the creation and evolution of Chicago Juke music and has been lifelong friends with other key players on the scene such as Paul Johnson, DJ Gant-Man, DJ Spinn, DJ Godfather and Jammin Gerald.
He has the ability to blend elements of house, ghetto house, disco, juke, and ghetto tech together with a knack for creating sparse, snappy tracks that manage to convey a physicality and funk with spectacular precision.
Long established as a driving force behind the international footwerk pandemic, DJ Rashad broke new ground with releases for Planet Mu and is now prepping a solo release on Hyperdub recordings, alongside a Fabric London performance alongside Kode 9 this March.
DJ Rashad & DJ Spinn | In The Mix
After quietly preparing her musicammunition in 2011, Sarah Farina is quickly invading all corners of Berlins Bassdriven Clubs. Understanding the power of surprise, she took many dancefloors by storm by dropping an arsenal of real craptraprap Shit, Bass Bombs & Boogie Bangers with military precision.
Showing no signs of retreat, the Rookie of WeBoogie & Through My Speakers continues to take a serious shot at the title ‘Rookie of the Year’, being the fresh new resident of several of the city’s most respected venues and playing next to masterminds like Disclosure, Kode9 and Lunice.
