The official bio says that DuChamp is an Italian scientist, musician and curator based in Berlin, religiously devoted to drone.

For DuChamp drone is related to a precise childhood memory: the sound of the hair dryer, that her mother used to fix her hair. That was the sound of care, bliss, and infinite love.

DuChamp uses different instruments (bass guitar, baritone guitar, keyboard, accordion) to find the closer one to the hair dryer she have in her memory.

Her live performance and her brand new LP are something you should not miss; you’ll find both at Occulto Fest 2013, on Saturday, June 8th.

Davide Coccolo is the solo project of Davide Coccolo, Turin, Italy. Since 2009 he has been playing guitar with How Much Wood Would a Woodchuck Chuck if a Woodchuck Could Chuck Wood?

La Piramide di Sangue is a psychedelic ensemble composed of seven members from various Italian musical realities (Movie Star Junkies, Love Boat, Vermillion Sands, king suffy generator, etc…).

Their wall of sound is based on two guitars, two bass guitars, a clarinet, a synthesizer, a drum, various loops, noises and ethnic percussion. The songs are developed through a mosaic of meditative and sinister sounds.

These are informed by Sun Ra and Anthony Braxton, kraut trips inspired by Agitation Free and Neu! as well as North African guitarists such as Bombino and Group Doueh and finally by No Wave from New York and American rock.

EPIPHANY NOW form a circle and create a chameleon of sound. Live improvised music only, visually supported by PETIT NEON and his incredible slide projections.

San Franciscan Peter Berend’s mystery mixtape unit, KWJAZ, nimbly ebbs and flows the proceedings through airy cloud-jazz passages (complete with smoky crystal vibes keys and narcotic hiss-hazed horn sections).

Then he adds bouncy weirdo dub-funk vignettes, stretched-out syrupy synth stews, and smooth faux-Steely D soft-rock abstractions, all without ever sounding schizo or style-hoppy.

Moon Wheel is a Swedish musician. He published a self-titled album on Not Not Fun, a split tape with Ill Winds on Noisekölln Tapes and an (upcoming) 7″ on Wool Recordings.

He describes his music like that: “Music for contemplative listening, relaxation and dancing, inspired by nature, history and wandering.”

Moon Wheel’s performance will be the last of Occulto Fest 2013, on Sunday 9 June: join us, listen, relax, dance.
