After a year DJing and hosting external events all over Berlin as well as further afield O Tannenbaum are back with a brand new permanent location.
Opening at Sonnenallee 27 on 12th June, O Tannenbaum will now be a full time bar open everyday of the week except mondays. Of course, the music and film program will be as good as ever and special live concerts and events will also be happening.
After a non sabbatical year of activities in different locations O Tannenbaum invites you to come and celebrate their new location. The new habitat is to be found at Sonnenallee 27, 10 meters away from the beloved Cafe Warschau.
The program will include film and video series like 1+1>3, with a focus on movies on the edge of art and science, Disco Universe, our music documentary programme, VPRO’s Backlight, a current affairs/ documentary programme. It focuses on our real (globalized) world in which economies, societies, and cultures seek a new equilibrium, Distant Corners will explore far away places in the complicated human mind, Great Shorts, with must-see short movies. Portraits with portraits of men, cities and countries. And many more.
At the end of June we will start the series O Tannenbaum Klassiek in cooperation with Beatrice Martini; every six weeks you’ll be invited to come and witness classical music played live in a Tannen-Umgebung.
Later on in july and thereafter there will be cooperations and events organized by Anouk Kruithof with a focus on photography and events organized by Tamtamtam with a programme on the edge of performance & music. Furthermore there will be events focusing on live storytelling, website launching and more.
Every Saturday there will music and the possibility to move your disco feet. With resident dj’s Squeakyfrom & the O Tannenbaum dj’s, and dj’s Meeuw, Wannes Dirven, Numuw and many others
Being a full time bar, O Tannenbaum will serve the best Belgium & German beers we know, we will serve dutch snacks, rabarberschorle, the notorious and scarcely known cocktail ‘The Tannenbaum’ and who knows what else.
