The magical melodies and touchingly clever lyrics of Molly Nilsson (who also goes by the name formerly known as White Bread!), grow on you as you find yourself listening to them over and over again.

With her one-woman-show, this escaped Swede brings her nostalgic pop, on a journey through life and death, with love and trouble, to a No Mans Land, on the border between reality and dream.

Swedish-born and Berlin-based singer and songwriter Nilsson has found a home in many ears, thanks to her simple but strong synth-loops and melodies, hooking into her intimate vocals and lyrics.

She has spent the last years releasing four full-length albums on her own label DARK SKIES ASSOCIATION, and travelling round Europe with her one-woman-symphony.

In 2011 the American singer John Maus covered her nocturnal ballad “Hey Moon!” on his album We Must Become The Pitiless Censors Of Ourselves, originally found on her 2008 debut album These Things Take Time.

History, her fourth full-length, is an 11-track collection of power ballads and off-kilter dance-pop, carried by the commanding, almost Nico-like ominousness of her voice.

Synthetic, darkly romantic, and full of grandiose swells, her songs are likely to sound self-consciously 1980s without reminding you of any artist in particular.

On her 5th long-player The Travels, Nilsson’s perspective is challenged and manipulated by changes in environment and psychological space.

Like any other traveller the protagonist brings their own set of values and emotional states and new places, colouring them with a wash of subjectivity.
