BLINKING KINO is a new German/English film magazine, published twice a year and based in Berlin. It is not only for film enthusiasts and film makers, but also for those who are seeking films which are much less visible, less known, less hyped.
The magazine will cover an international variety of films which includes and celebrates a wide dichotomy of genres and periods- from commercial to independent, covering many subjects, styles and approaches in film-making.
The main remit is to present and promote: Overlooked & grossly underrated films, Cinema made by women, Film-makers of influence, International and local film-makers, German speaking cinema outside of just Germany, European & Eastern European cinema and Documentary vs mockumentary
