Berlin based software developer Ableton recently announced a new dedicated hardware controller for their Live DAW. Designed by the Ableton team in Berlin and engineered by Akai, the company who created the legendary MPC.

Ableton Push promises to give users a new level of hands-on access to the Live application opening new possibilities of creativity, thereby enhancing even more what is already an incredibly versatile sequencer.

Push is a new instrument that solves an old problem: how to make a song from scratch. With hands-on control of melody and harmony, beats, sounds, and song structure, Push puts the fundamental elements of music making at your fingertips – and it fits in a backpack alongside your laptop.
