New and contemporary music – away from mainstream, pop-culture and the conventional society; we report on the most breathtaking metropolis in Europe. Because the destiny of Berlin is a continuous journey with out ever arriving.
An online magazine, events promoter, label, radio, forger of ideas and consultant, the D/B network is active in all spheres of Berlin sub-culture.
D/B organizes unique concerts the goal of which is to present challenging music. Digital in Berlin is not constrained by fashions, musical styles or other conservative boundaries. An all encompassing platform, D/B sees music as the main issue, never merely as a passing trend.
Digital in Berlin is also organizer of the unique MADEIRADIG Festival on the garden-island of Madeira in Portugal. The festival takes place once a year at the start of December. While it’s cold in the rest of Europe, experience some of the most formidable avant-garde musicians in the world and stay in a gorgeous Design Hotel located on a cliff in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean. This intimate festival on the mountainous volcanic island features a stunning and unsurpassable line-up, a landscape to match and attractive spring temperatures.
The Digital in Berlin Radio Show brings different styles and directions in music to a wider audience, and so fostering music that has a formidable and extraordinary approach. The shows are presented and compiled by musician & philosopher Dirk Markham and D/B founder Michael Rosen. Every other Tuesday in 2010 / 21:30-22:30 h on 88,4 MHz / in Southwest Berlin on 90,7 MHz & Online.
The Digital in Berlin Agenda is published monthly and recommends events with a focus on progressive, modern and serious music. It’s printed in a batch of 5000 and availble free at the following places in Berlin.
