In many instances 1 + 1 does not yield the solution of 2. Like the insoluble riddle of water and oil the equation remains as 1 + 1.
As two contending liquids, water and oil are not to be mixed and never to be merged.
We experience this polarity in our relationships, in politics and in commerce. Polarity exists as an everyday tempo – two individuals, two statements or two belongings are continually existing as counterparts from one another.
In the dance performance from Tomoko Nakasato and Kazuma Glen Motomura, the principle of duality will be dealt with in a sprightly and playful manner.
