Certain endeavors require a higher order of celebration. A celebration that defies not only expectations, but also assumptions and notions of just what a party is and is capable of achieving.

Celebrations that burn white hot impressions onto the fabric of our very existence as we journey ever onwards, grasping at the moments and events that reinforce the glory of existence.

It’s not sure if the pairing of Shameless/Limitless and Noisekölln for a Friday night at the end of May requires that manner of celebration, but they’re going for it anyways.

Making music while staying anonymous in the Internet age isn’t only difficult, it’s fun. A couple weeks ago, Slow Magic comprised of an “unknown imaginary friend” bubbled up from nowhere with an incredibly delicious single, “Sorry Safari.

The glo-fi outfit whispered into the conversation like a mysterious woman at a cocktail party— who is that stranger? That hair, that dress! Who’s she here with? You ask the host, but they don’t have any idea, and everyone seems too shy to go up and speak to her.

And so you’re content with just gazing quickly, taking sly looks while nuzzling your cocktail nonchalantly, tapping your foot to the beat. This new dreamy video for the lead single from their debut EP was directed by Brendan Canty, the man behind Feel Good Lost based in Cork, Ireland.

San Francisco is a city brimming with hidden talent just waiting to be discovered. Charlie Yin’s bedroom project Giraffage is one of these hidden gems.

The music is impressive – lush and dreamy electronic landscapes are woven in with hip hop beats creating a symphony of blissful sounds that will put you in a dreamlike state.

Mister Lies is the product of dorm-room insomnia, the development of a family of friends in a city of strangers under altered states and the feeling of homesickness for places where one only feels homesick.

It is also the operational alias for a 20-year-old producer, multi-instrumentalist and feral child who was raised by wolves in the forests of a Connecticut suburb. Somewhere down the road, those winds whisked him away and dropped him off in Chicago.

In the harshest parts of winter in the Windy City; equipped with a laptop, several controllers and whatever instruments were lying around his congested dorm-room; he released his first EP anonymously before eventually revealing his identity as Nick Zanca.

Before long these atmospheric, nocturnal tracks started making rounds. After many months away, Zanca revisited his New England roots with a collection of Rudyard Kipling’s written work and a carload of microphones, synthesizers and samplers and camped out at a cabin on a lake in Vermont.

Zanca’s debut full-length MOWGLI, out on Lefse Records in early 2013, is the eight-track result of that meditation and soul-searching – an aggressive hunt for self-awareness and feral youth.

And many more artists and Djs will perform: Rodeo (Berlin); Clay Hooves (Berlin); Rejections (Opal Tapes/Reject and Fade); DJ Richard (White Material Records); Alienata (Kat Channel/Snuff Traxx); JR Seaton (Call Super inc.); DJ Brot (NO/Moon Wheel); Michael Aniser (Mr.Noisekölln himself).
