We considered every option, but with a heavy heart, we are sad to announce that we decided to cancel this year’s festival. With the new precautions across Europe, flights are cancelled, tighter lockdowns are happening, cultural events cannot take place. And so, for the first time in 17 years, there will be no MADEIRADiG. However, we will do our best to make the festival happen with the same programme next year in December. Stay safe, healthy, and let’s hope for the best.
It is difficult to predict and to prepare, especially now, when the pandemic is hitting Europe hard. Here is our program that we hope will be the light at the end of the tunnel – our annual escape to the island of Madeira. The MADEIRADiG Festival will take place on 3rd-8th of December, tickets are on sale.
We return to the old format, but with extra performances on the first and the last day in Ponta do Sol. This intimate festival on the mountainous volcanic island of Madeira features a stunning and unsurpassable line-up, a landscape to match and wonderful spring temperatures.
