Gunman and The Holy Ghost is Hákon Aðalsteinsson. The talented frontman is renowned for his versatile work as part of the Berlin based band The Third Sound as well as touring in the The Brian Jonestown Massacre. After he struck camp in his home country and decided to built up a new life in Berlin, he needed more than one output for his overflowing creativity. Several albums later we have the new Gunman EP titled House For The Dying. Songwriters like Leonard Cohen and Nick Cave are underlying influences – wonderful, smooth alt-country songs. These are first and foremost one thing: misery ballads, which serenade opposites attracting and colliding. Love and separation, inner demons and the surreal aspects of human existence. Anton Newcombe, frontman of the legendary The Brian Jonestown Massacre is such a big fan that he invited Hákon to join the BJM band on tour – the two singers know each other from other side projects, having both also worked with Tess Parks.
Beyond The Breath of Grace is the Dark Spaghetti Western concept album by Andreas Miranda and his Brussels based collective. It can be described as a Morricone-esque sound journey into purgatory. The album was composed and recorded while going through chemo therapy and has helped raised significant funds for cancer relief causes through a crowdfunding campaign. He has since recorded and toured with the Berliner Krautrock collective “Camera”, along with the Chilean Psych rock band Chicos de Nazca and the Berliner indie band Highest Sea.
