It’s time for the third edition of Berlin’s yearly Winter festival for drum’n’bass, breakcore, experimental sounds and uncommon techno.
Since 2011, Burn The Machine has been bridging the gaps between all genres of left-of-centre electronic music and presenting them in a fitting context.
A loud but clear sound-system, a friendly atmosphere and an environment which constantly puts the focus on music first. This will not change this year, as BTM has prepared another line-up of thought-provoking, body-shaking and ear-opening acts, workshops and movies.
Subheim | Howl
And of course, they’ll burn their own robotic Guy Fawkes again. 2013’s big news is that BTM is expanding, incorporating a third day to the festival.
The opening night on Thursday, October 31st will not only be an atypical Halloween celebration, but also the introduction for Burn The Machine to more acoustic-based, doom-related sounds.
Svarte Greiner | Tunnel Of Love
Norway’s Svarte Greiner, also the founder of the Miasmah label, is renowned for his encompassing experimentations with accoustic sounds and deep atmospheres.
Greece’s Subheim will play a rare duo set and present material from their highly-awaited third album.
Shackleton | Powerplant
Nadja, the latest project by Aidan Baker and Leah Buckareff will drown us in their ambient-drone metal, while Shackleton promises a deep audio journey through an extended version of his remarkable live-set.
Further atists include Igorrr, Mobthrow, Gore Tech, D.A.V.E. The Drummer, Bill Youngman and more on november 1st, and Current Value, Cause4Concer, Counterstrike, Cooh, Electric Kettle, Fausten and more on november 2nd. Additionally, there will be official workshops by Schneiders Büro and Ableton.
