The concert programme of Hau2 theater in April begins with the reunion of a band which – without any exaggeration – merits to be called a supergroup.
In the Sixties guitarist KEITH ROWE was one of the members of AMM, pioneers of free improvised music in England.
More than a decade ago he got together with four protagonists of Austria’s and Oceania’s contemporary avant-garde, playing a classic of electro-acoustic sound art under the name of AFTERNOON TEA.

His collaborators were PETER REHBERG, among others founder of the Vienna electronic label Mego and CHRISTIAN FENNESZ, one of the internationally most successful pioneers of electro-acoustic music.
Two others were the no less famous laptop-specialist PIMMON, something of an Australian counterpart to Christian Fennesz as well as guitarist and percussionist OREN AMBARCHI.
Ambarchi’s virtuosity ways amply displayed several months ago when he performed in a trio with Keiji Haino and Stephen O’Malley at HAU.
After having done a recording in 2000 the musicians went separate ways. Now they once again get back together – on 05 April at HAU 2.
