Behind 3 IN A ROW hides a Berliner cooperation between Gretchen and Koffäin. The Gretchen as an institution for most diverse (electronic counterpart) musical styles outside the mainstream – and Koffäin as hotspot for good coffee and daytime meeting place for musicians and music lovers scene people.

The opportunity to exchange, to develop synergies or just listen to good music bring us to enjoy the stage with old friends and new discoveries, this time with Portico Quartet feat Jono Mc Cleery, Robot Koch, John Brecht & Ensemble.

Pe-configured as a three piece, Portico (Duncan Bellamy, Milo Fitzpatrick and Jack Wyllie) are delighted to unveil a brand new song from their forthcoming album. Bordering on the hallucinatory, their hypnotic music moves forwards towards distant places, arriving somewhere between structured pop songs and a disintegrating ambience. Living Fields is the perfect introduction. With collaborators Jamie Woon, Jono McCleery and Joe Newman (Alt-J) the band said: “We’re really pleased that we’ve signed to Ninja Tune, they have such a rich history of releasing innovative exciting music and so we feel at home here already. Can’t wait to share this new music with you all.”

Robot Koch is an award winning one-of-a-kind producer/composer from Berlin. His unique sound of organic electronic music has been called “Wonderful and Strange – pop music from the future” (John Peel) and has been used on various TV shows and films including NBC`s “the Blacklist” and Fox`s “Rake,” continuing to resonate with a growing audience worldwide. Also a collaborator on the recent Tensnake album, Koch has released several albums and EPs on Labels such as Bpitch Control, Project Mooncircle and toured internationally, playing shows and festivals in the US and all over Europe, Russia and Asia.

John Brecht’s talent, a full-blooded musician, multi-instrumentalist, producer and an exciting a potent newcomer with a kind of musical feel-Vision. With 3 IN A ROW, John Brecht presents live with an ensemble of cello and drums.
