Zs was founded in 2000 and has existed as a trio, sextet, and quartet, now solidifying into the trio formation of Sam Hillmer, Patrick Higgins, and Greg Fox. While our music has been variously categorized as no-wave, brutal-prog, and post-minimalist, Zs is primarily concerned with making music that challenges the physical and mental limitations of both performer and listener. Manipulating extended technique, unique instrumental synthesis, and near telepathic communication, Zs aims to create works that envelop the listener and unfold sonically over time, evoking unspoken past, present, and future rites and ritual.

Zs’ active markets are in North America, Europe and Asia – playing across 20 countries in 2012/13 season alone. The group has extensively toured all of these markets, playing some of the world’s premier venues, stages, clubs, concerts halls, museums and festivals. Zs also pursues large-scale sculptural and sound-based installation works, with recent exhibitions at Vacant Gallery (Tokyo), Donau Festival (Austria), South
By Southwest (US), and The Apple Store (NYC). Zs has also collaborated with prominent visual artists, composers, and ensembles.
Bubu consists of musicians Martial Frenzel, Paul Engelmann and Ben Lehmann.
In a relentless quest for solemn beauty in sound, Berlin based musician and producer Felix-Florian Tödtloff takes multiple paths.
Whether performing solo under the moniker *Sferics*, where he creates lush ambient pads on the electric guitar or in the black metal group *Sun Worship*, building a wall of atmospheric noise, his music always aims to push the listener towards a meditative state.
Recently Tödtloff has started performing under his real name, experimenting with tape collages, modular synthesis, and interactive visuals to expand his musical expression, while maintaining a minimalist approach in his setup.
