QUESTIONS:
1. What is the biggest inspiration for your music?
I’m a big fan of the Cocteau Twins and this project is named after their song “Primitive Heart“.
2. How and when did you get into making music?
I’ve been a singer and instrumentalist for most of my life. I started on piano and was a member of the choir and the band as a clarinetist. I became a guitarist, songwriter and co-producer after high school and I am now producing my own music.

4. What do you associate with Berlin?
Great music and art.

House of Yes
6. If there was no music in the world, what would you do instead?
Make films.

8. Who would you most like to collaborate with?
Chelsea Wolfe
9. What was your best gig (as performer or spectator)?
One of my favorite gigs was opening up for Sylvan Esso. I was blown away by Amelia’s vocal style and stage presence.
10. How important is technology to your creative process?
I use many different types of technology in my creative process. I typically create beats first through Ableton. Then I use effect pedals on electric guitar and vintage synths and record them through Logic Pro. After that I record layered vocals on Logic Pro.
11. Do you have siblings and how do they feel about your career/art?
I have a younger brother that plays drums, piano, bass and guitar and he also sings and writes songs. He is a big supporter of my music and has performed with me live and on some of my albums.
Primitive Heart will perform at Sameheads alongside Ponyhof on November 9th 2017.
