For the ninth edition of Neue Meister DRIVE presents a world premiere: the award winning Berlin-based producer and composer Robot Koch and the Australian violinist and composer Savannah Jo Lack will perform six pieces that were exclusively composed for the Neue Meister series. Lack’s impressive string arrangements and Koch’s detailed soundscapes create a unique sound of organic electronic music.
Yura Lee is one of the most versatile and captivating artists of our time, excelling as a soloist and chamber musician from baroque to modern music.

British multi-talent John Metcalfe belongs to the melancholic chamber pop scene. Metcalfe’s work is characterised by an electrifying mix of trip-hop and violin etudes, combined with the immediacy of pop music production, as in his latest album “Absence”.

Another premiere will be the pieces by Clemens Christian Poetzsch. His works range from stage music to compositions for dance choreographies. He combines classical sound language and improvisation with electronic elements and contrabass drones.

Created especially for Neue Meister IX, the musical narrative “Signals from Shushan” for violin and string orchestra by Max Doehlemann is dedicated to violinist Liv Migdal. The composition escalates through rhythmic elements into an oriental celebration and intoxicating dance.

Berlin-born Iskandar Widjaja is a crossover artist, not limited to the classical genre. For Neue Meister he will perform pieces from his most personal album “Mercy”, including interpretations of Arvo Pärt, Max Richter and J. S. Bach, that he is currently presenting live on tour.
