Avant-garde folklore? Spontaneous contemplation? Minimalist prog rock? “minimal utopia orkestra” is a musical experiment that has emerged from the project “Heimatlieder aus Deutschland” (“Songs of Homeland from Germany”).

At radialsystem, the 16-person ensemble performs a fragmented mythology with handmade instruments from four continents, bursting into song, whether it be Cuban or Vietnamese, Serbian or Moroccan. These musical effusions are not random, but rather contemporary – as contradictory as the times in which we live.

Together they present fragmented folklore with handmade instruments from four continents, in which Cuban and Vietnamese, but also Serbian and Moroccan music merges. Not arbitrary, but contemporary and as contradictory as the time in which we live.

A production of Run United. „Heimatlieder aus Deutschland“ funded by Musikfonds e.V. (mit Projektmitteln der Beauftragten der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien)
