It was 1985, when I discovered the hip hop culture and I was interested in electro, breakdancing and the scratches!!! I began to experiment and to use the technique of scratching and cutting, I was fascinated by the figure of the DJ. In 1987 I started to djing in clubs, in 1991 I organized one of the most important raves in Italy and at the same time I produced my first techno record…Now it’s almost 29 years that I play and I produce techno ;-)

Freedom

5. What’s your favourite place in your town?
My place, my studio! We are living in the chaos, I love to enjoy the silence at the end of the day…

6. If there was no music in the world, what would you do instead?
First of all I would call Friedrich Nietzsche and I would say you were right: it is a mistake! Then surely I would have been a terrorist or a Mafia Man ha ha ha .. nooooo its not true! Definitely a player of American Football, which was a my old passion, I used to play American Football before…

Unfortunately, with whom I dreamed to collaborate, that person is no longer alive. …surely with someone who gives me emotions with the music.

9. What was your best gig(as performer or spectator)?
As a performer in all these years of career it’s difficult to decide on one unforgettable gig, certainly the Fabrik Club of London in 2004 I will never forget! The sound system, the bass beat! Also ADE 2008 was a super gig, but surely if I close my eyes, then Energy 93 in Zurich in front of 25, 000 people full of pure energy, this I will never forget, I was a fury! But as I said there are many recently also here in Berlin, or just some weeks ago at Moog in Barcelona! Every time there is a super evening with great emotions!

10.How important is technology to your creative process?
In the production and promotion, technology is crucial! Techno is the fruit of the evolution in Technology, it’s a process that has grown together… Instead, if we talk about DJing and Technology, no thanks, absolutley no! The DJ is a craftsman! I hand le exclusively vinyl and no computers or technology … no thanx

11. Do you have siblings and how do they feel about your career?
I was lucky because in the 80’s, thanks to my brother, who was the founder and component of an old Punk band from Rome , I experienced one of the most important clubs of punk, new wave and industrial in Rome, the legendary Uonna Club. I joined my brother for concerts from 1983 to 1985 and here I had the chance to learn and grow with the EBM, the industrial and punk … then I became a DJ producer and my brother is married and has changed life… …my brother loves what I do!
