Experimentalist collaborators Kevin Drumm and Tom Smith perform at NK Project.
[audio:Kevin Drumm – first memory of pain.mp3]Self described as ‘Defiantly uncatagorizeable’ and ‘wildly inaccessible’, the music of Kevin Drumm and Tom Smith’s electro acoustic collaboration combines the former’s analog gristle and digital transmogrifications with the latter’s chopped and screwed vocals.
Kevin Drumm was born in Chicago. He works primarily with electro-acoustic music/sound, exploiting any and all frequencies and tools, analog/digital, micro/macro/monotony/chaos/everything/nothing. The polymath Tom Smith was ‘born 1956 in southern Georgia, USA and, he confesses, ‘works primarily with …everything/nothing.’
