Though he may share a first name with a legendary British king, it is under the pseudonym Kazy Lambist that Arthur Dubreucq has taken a seat at the round table of electro pop in recent years. Arthur was born, raised and still lives in Montpellier. As a boy, he learnt classical piano, then tried his hand at the guitar in rock bands. At just 25 years old, the young Frenchman already has an impressive career behind him: two EPs “The Coast”and “The City”, which masterfully combined house beats, electro sounds and just a pinch of that special French flair. All that has led to his debut album “33 000 FT”, which was released last year to much critical acclaim. Kazy Lambist builds magnificent bridges between pop and electro, for a stripped back, haunting sound. It’s a floaty, vaporous record that celebrates pop in its most beautiful forms: floating, sensual, dancing, melancholic… A perfect soundtrack for long summer nights!
