Inner8 is Daniele Antezza, a multi-faceted thinker and electronic music producer, member of Dadub duo, co-founder of Artefacts Mastering Studio and  Holotone label manager, whose regular invocation of the term praxis begins to hint at his creative aims: a primary synthesis of contemplation and action that,  in turn, encourages a secondary and entirely unpredictable set of syntheses dependent upon the listener’s unique interpretation. Though the Inner8 moniker has been in existence for several years as a private nickname for, as Antezza puts it, his “experimental anarchist sounds, ” a full-length LP and a brand new 4 tracks EP are just now surfacing which will reveal just how much this project has to communicate.

1: “It’s not important how much free time you have but how free you are in using your time”

2: “The freedom of all is essential to my freedom.” (Mikhail Bakunin)

3: “Be wise as serpents and harmless as doves” (Jesus, Mathew 10:16)

What is the biggest inspiration for your music?
Life, passion, philosophy and the belief that my artistic journey represents a path of liberation for me as a human being.

How and when did you get into making music?
Music has had a prominent role in my life since I was a child, but I started to produce my own music when I was 25 years old, when I started to get into computer music.

What are your 5 favorite albums of all time?
Autechre – “Tri Repetae”
William Basinski – “The Disintegration Loops”
Keith Jarret – “The Köln Konzert”
Dead Can Dance – “Spiritchaser”
Meshugghah – “Destroy Erase Improve”

What do you associate with Berlin?
I’ve a double feeling thinking about Berlin: one one hand it still represents freedom of expression, creativity and inspiration, but on the other it’s becoming a symbol of merciless gentrification and ego glorification through the transformation of the underground culture into trends and fashion.

What’s your favorite place in your town?
It depends on my mood.

If there was no music in the world, what would you do instead?
I’d be a visual artist, or a photographer, or I’d live in the countryside, taking care of my plants and animals.

What was the last record you bought?
GRÜ N – “Supervegetale” (Dromoscope)

Who would you most like to collaborate with?
I’d like to collaborate with a whole lot of artists… at the moment the first one who comes to mind is William Basinski

What was your best gig (as performer or spectator)?
One of the most massive vibes I’ve got from performing live was playing with Dadub at Berlin Atonal 2013.

How important is technology to your creative process?
It’s of course really important because I give life to my sounds through technology, but I don’t link it to my creativity.

Do you have siblings and how do they feel about your career?
I have a brother who is very proud of what I do and a big supporter of my music.
