I’d rather sink / Fausto Romitelli & Dmitri Kourliandski at Halle am Wriezener Bahnhof / Thursday, 06.-08.06.2019

Mystical instructions – An immersive music performance by La Cage and Miroirs Étendus at the Halle am Wriezener Bahnhof on the Berghain ground. Based on the video opera “An Index of Metals” (2003) by Fausto Romitelli and the new rave piece “I’d rather sink” (2019) by Dmitri Kourliandski for soprano, eleven instrumentalists and speaker wall. “Music today needs to be violent and mysterious, so that it can reflect the massive violence and alienation inherent in the processes of normalization all around us” – Fausto Romitelli (1963-2004). We meet to lose ourselves, we meet to express ourselves, we meet to find ourselves – within a community. No matter how temporary. An experience at the intersection of music, mysticism and rave.
