The festival will present more then 100 movies from any number of genres, this time putting its focus on the new school of Polish Directors like Paweł Borowski, Katarzyna Rosłaniec, Xawery Żuławski and many more.
Additionally, a sequence of 18 movies dealing with the 30th anniversary of the Solidarność movement will be shown, and a retrospective on OPUS studios, responsible for producing some of the most interesting and celebrated feature films in Polish cinema during the last few years.
In cooperation with Hackesche Höfe Kino, Neue Kant Kinos, Zeughauskino des Deutschen Historischen Museums, Arsenal – Institut für Film und Videokunst, Filmmuseum Potsdam, FSK, Club der polnischen Versager and Filmclub K-18, “film POLSKA“ opens its first installment Thursday, April 15, 2010 with “Wojna polsko-ruska” (Snow White and Russian Red, roughly).
