Extreme Chill Festival Berlin w/ H.J. Roedelius, T. Fehlmann & more @ Platoon Kunsthalle | 04.-06.07.2014

The Icelandic electronica festival Extreme Chill Festival has been held in Iceland for the last four years at Hellissandur, Snæfellsnes. In August 2009 Stereo Hypnosis held a release concert in Hellissandur, a village on the Snæfellsnes peninsula.

That is when the idea to locate the music festival at Hellissandur saw the light of day. One year later the electronic music festival Extreme Chill – Undir Jökli (under the glacier), was held the weekend 6-8 August 2010.

The atmosphere at the festival is very unique , because it takes place in such an amazing environment, with the sea on your right hand and the legendary Snæfelsjökull (glacier) on the left with like minded people attending, all there to come and see music that they love, and having good time in this truly special surroundings.

Artists like: Biosphere, Mixmaster Morris, Solar Fields, Samaris, Jónas Sen, Stereo Hypnosis, Yagya, Reptilicus, Inferno 5 and many more, have performed last four years in Iceland.

The festival has been getting more popular year after year and the British paper the Guardian choose the Extreme Chill Festival “Europe´s most picturesque festival location in 2012”.
