Danielle de Picciotto and Alexander Hacke will perform songs from de Picciotto’s solo record Tacoma and new pieces that will appear on the forthcoming album Perseverantia.

The compositions are maily instrumentals with spoken words and drones with electronic background sounds. The performance will be accompanied with screenings of de Picciotto’s short films.

The Hallicrafters are a short wave soundscape duo from Brooklyn. Since 1992 Eric Hubel (Glenn Branca) and Algis Kižys (Swans) manipulate live signals from short wave radios, pulse generators, checking devices and effect pedals, and use these devices as instruments.

The Hallicrafters performed at Festival du Nouveau Cinema in Montreal,  Eclectic Electrics Festival in Ontario, WFMU Radio / NJ and Ohrenschmalz-Rekorde in Brooklyn, NY, at CBGB and CB Gallery in NYC alongside artists as Merce Cunningham.

This event is presented by Digital in Berlin. Check out our Facebook page to win tickets.
