The analogue NOW association is celebrating its foundation and is warming up for its festival next summer with a one-day event. At Festival-Warm-Up analogue NOW is hosting a day packed with attractions such as darkroom workshops, analogue installations, a musical silent movie accompaniment, live-acts and DJ-sets.

At Festival-Warm-Up visitors will encounter various analogue photography highlights such as a room-sized walkable camera obscura as well as a slideprojection- installation by artist Sebastian Reddehase and an audiovisual projection (optonik). The day will start off with two experimental photography workshops that don’t require a camera (photograms and cyanotypes) followed by a Polaroid foto-rallye- competition. The lucky winner will receive a customized Polaroid camera.

The evening program kicks off at 8.30 p.m. with the screening of Buster Keaton’s cult-classic silent movie The Cameraman accompanied by the duo Ugo, which will provide live music and sound effects. At 10 pm it’s time to shake and dance – starting off with a folktronic live set by Steffen Linck followed by Berlin based Techno-Pop act Mittekill.

The final stretching and scratching will be supervised by the DJ-Drillmasters of The Mouse Folk, Monolink and Niklaus Katzorke – resident-DJ and co-organizer of party series Voll Schön. Throughout the evening the Art-Collective TPB_RGB-Therapie will create a large-scale painted image right in front of the audience.
