Kamasi Washington is a LA born and based saxophone player & composer. His debut album, forthcoming on Brainfeeder, is a 172-minute opus featuring a 32-piece orchestra and a 20-person choir, fittingly titled The Epic. Over the years, Kamasi has performed and recorded with many of his musical heroes from various genres, including McCoy Tyner, Freddie Hubbard, George Duke, Lauryn Hill, Mos Def, Quincy Jones, Stanley Clark, Harvey Mason or Chaka Khan.

Emanative is a British drummer/percussionist, producer on labels such as Brownswood or On the Corner Records. He´s also a Trustee of Gilles Peterson Steve Reid Foundation, alongside Theo Parrish, Fourtet, Floating Points or Rocker Number Nine. Emanative’s latest body of work – The Light Years of Darkness – comes in the form of this incredible collaborative piece of art all in the name of the charity, the Steve Reid Foundation. With features from Four Tet, Collocutor, The Pyramids, Earl Zinger, Jessica Lauren, Finn Peters, Rocketnumbernine, United Vibrations and Steve Reid collaborator Ahmed Abdullah!

Gilles Peterson’s long time cohort & poet, Earl Zinger is none other than Rob Gallagher, who formerly led the Talkin’ Loud label’s acid jazz band Galliano. Zinger owns a well-crafted and impressive resumé, working with the likes of Jazzanova, United Future Organization, Rupert Huber, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Jazztronik, Rodney Hunter, Gilles Peterson, Kyoto Jazz Massive or Koop.

Tama Osborn is a british based saxophonist & flute player. She work in a wide range of fields including pop/soul, theatre, TV, world music, improvisation with djs, jazz and classical groups, session recording, arranging, teaching, functions…She’s actually involved in a number of on-going projects, among others Collocutor, going into the modal & space jazz direction.
