Ultraflex

The Norwegian–Icelandic duo Ultraflex stages pop as a dazzling Gesamtkunstwerk – balancing irony and intimacy. Their second album »Infinite Wellness« is a deconstructive dance through Italo disco, Eurodance, synth-funk, and new-age aesthetics – complete with saxophone solos, Spanish guitars, and sultry whisper vocals.

What might sound like kitsch is deliberate: postmodern pop that feels like Soviet-era aerobics videos re-scored with Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) and feminist eroticism. Tracks like »Mi Vuoi« and »Melting Away« nod to artists such as Alice Deejay and Uku Kuut – without slipping into retro pastiche. Ultraflex revel in the tension between trash and transcendence, between club and conceptual art. Their music is a playful exploration of surface and desire – seductive, playful, and full of subversive references.
