ATK was a monthly improvisation concert series initiated in 2012/2013 by Jochen Arbeit (Einstürzende Neubauten) and Dirk Dresselhaus (Schneider TM).
It was conceived as a platform where interdisciplinary sound and performance artists could publicly present the results of their ongoing research. On April 30, this approach will be revisited at KAPELL99 under the title AUFLADETECHNISCHE KONFERENZ – Revisited.
The evening will feature two live sets in which electronically manipulated 12-string acoustic guitars encounter the experimental percussion of multi-instrumentalist Daniel Schröteler. Together, they generate hypnotic streams of sound—drawing inspiration from ritualistic and Far Eastern musical traditions, yet deliberately operating beyond clear genre classifications. Previous performances playfully described the concept as Fake Ragas, a term that ultimately falls short of capturing the actual outcome. At its core lies the spontaneous convergence of distinct, independent systems.
Schneider TM is a multidimensional music project by Dirk Dresselhaus that oscillates extensively between adventurous electronic pop music and experimental, sometimes improvised freeform music while occasionally bringing these and other opposing elements together. Schneider TM has been operating since the mid-90s and has released some albums on City Slang / Mute.
