μ ensemble (pronounced ‘mu ensemble’) is a quartet producing quietly ecstatic microtonal drone music. Using a motorised hurdy-gurdy, home-made bagpipes, viola, trumpet and sine-waves, the group produce a wavering cloud of texture and tone designed to melt into the atmosphere and surround the audience like heavy air.
