Ciclo Modular Berlin at Lark / Wednesday, 4.6.2025

Ciclo Modular, an experimental electronic music series born in Chile, comes to Berlin for its first European edition. Following successful iterations in Santiago and Seattle, the series continues its international expansion with a carefully curated evening showcasing artists who push the boundaries of electronic sound.

Headlining the night is Ciudad de Tar, an experimental electronic duo from Santiago, Chile. Combining post-rock textures with electronic processes, their live performances create immersive soundscapes through a mix of electric guitar, analog synths, clarinet, and drum machines. The band is currently on their first European tour, presenting material from their upcoming album Liminal, and will perform at the Dunk! Festival in Ghent before arriving in Berlin for this special date.

Berlin-based producer and sound artist Bob Meanza brings his unique sonic explorations to the event, blending textures and rhythms into a thoughtful and unpredictable live set. His work traverses the fields of avant-garde electronics and electroacoustic composition, adding a distinctive layer to the evening.

OAIO is the solo project of Chilean musician Octavio Cañulef. His performance focuses on free improvisation and experimental sound design, creating evolving sonic structures shaped by gesture and live processing. With a background in audiovisual art and contemporary composition, OAIO offers a performance that navigates abstraction and intensity.

Completing the lineup is Francisco Riffo, a Chilean composer and sound designer based in Berlin. His work explores the relationship between sound, body, and space through immersive live sets that combine granular synthesis, field recordings, and spatial audio techniques.
