Every Saturday June-August @ Tentstation, Seydlitzstr. 6, Berlin

This summer Urban Peas once again undergoes a metamorphosis, transforming from its winter state as an internet radio show into a series of live music events for open minded music lovers. As ever Urban Peas is hosted by singer and DJ Manuela Krause and will take place at the uniquely atmospheric location Tenstation – the one and only urban campsite right in the heart of Berlin (5 min from Hauptbahnhof).

The Urban Peas Sessions 2009 kick off on sunday 31st May with a new regular event “Outdoor Swing” (every last sunday of the summer months). As well as this new swing session, there will be a monthly saturday night “Sound of Berlin” party with label showcases by DJ Strobocop / Karaoke Kalk, Thaddi / CCO plus live shows by Errorsmith, Visomat presenting their “Surface Refinement” instalation, and many more.

Also new for 2009 is the regular happening “New Urban Voices” which will provide a platform for some of Berlins finest female vocalists such as Marzipan Mazipan, Jasmine Machina + Golden Disko Ship and Kiki Bohemia. And on top of all that there will be a monthly Brumtone label night and the “Salon of the Universe” – the self-styled “most unconventional social event in town”!
