TARZANA & Francesco Cavaliere at West Germany / Saturday, 21.11.2015

Another interesting event at West Germany with a space ethnic alien hyperdimensional ooze TARZANA and Francesco Cavaliere.

Tarzana’s sound groups a long five year collaboration between musicians Jan Anderzén (Fonal, Kemialliset Ystävät, Tomutonttu) and Spencer Clark (The Skaters, Pacific City Soundvisions, Monopoly Child Star Searchers). Here with the addition of belgian synthesist composer Floris Vanhoof (Kraak, Ultra eczema), who, in Tarzana, will be playing free sampladelic drum pads.

Jan Anderzén is an artist producing experimental music and creating images with various techniques. He layers plotted and formulated elements with splashes of accident and contingency. He often focuses on themes roaming the foggy borderlands of wild and domesticated.

The other component of the band Floris Vanhoof connects his many worlds, ideas and influences into highly personal live performances and recordings. He keeps on amazing people here and abroad with his combo-style of both highly-original visual performances and oddball modular electronics. Meanwhile Spencer Clark is using top-of-the-line music imaging keyboards from the 80’s and 90’s to produce hallucinations of Past and Present Juxtaposed Eras, FarOff exotically composed tropical maladies, and wondrous inner-outer Ouspensky driven Fourth Dimensional Landscapes.

“Gancio Cielo is the first full length of Francesco Cavaliere, an artist we had the pleasure to introduce to the public some years ago with a legendary tape called “Neverending Somersault”. After years of live performing and an intense studio work, Francesco developed a unique style using his voice as main source of sounds and an incredible archive of home made sound FX.
Gancio Cielo is a magical space standing on its own, where a fantastic night-time story combined with exotic electronic music, is narrated, unfolding from an imaginary universe in which alchemy and science fiction come together. Cavaliere has developed a veritable dictionary to catalogue the strange beings that inhabit this universe, undefined by reference points: hybrids of objects, minerals, animals, plants, planets, trails, cosmic objects and physical and perceptual phenomena.
