Berlin’s master of electronic post-dub Pole aka Stefan Betke will demonstrate his art in a showcase performance at the Volksbühne this November.
Support will come from Drag City’s OM who kick off their European tour with this date at the Volksbühne in Berlin.
Stefan Betke aka Pole was born and raised in Düsseldorf. After a 7 year stay in Cologne, where he was already working on his, later highly respected, Trilogy (“1″, “2″, & “3″, released between 1998 and 2000) he moved to Berlin in 1996 where he became a Mastering Engineer for Vinyl and Mastering.

September 2011 Stefan Betke is founding a new artist label named “Pole“. He re-discovers and reworks the characteristic warmth and dubby deepness of his sound and returns to slow, but funky and grooving beats. Pole starts his new label with the 12inch Trilogy “waldgeschichten” followed by an album in 2013.
These releases reconnect Pole’s latest sound visions with his earlier work on the edge between electronic club music, urban dub and avantgarde, the sound for which Pole was always well known and respected!
Om’s latest album is one which roars so loud it can’t be ignored. Advaitic Songs maintains the singularity of purpose that informs the core sound of OM, yet every element reaches further than before. Whatever drone-doom genre that had been hoisted on the duo in years past has been decimated by the sheer imagination, expansive quality, and meticulously detailed arrangements of Advaitic Songs. For a band that has continually followed its own course, and stood alone in its sound and approach, Advaitic Songs for certain, is the band’s most focused, progressive document.
