One of the highlights of this years Easter weekend comes from our friends at O Tannenbaum who host a live appearance by Australia’s Pimmon aka Paul Gough.
The folded and chopped, glitchy ambient his Pimmon project can be traced back to a mid-’80s obsession with Severed Heads and a self-released cassette packaged in a mangled safety boot wrapped in plastic. Pimmon has releases on Tigerbeat 6 , Staalplaat, Sirr and Meme.
First heard on a demo received in 1998, Pimmon is the alias of Paul Gough, a resident of Sydney, Australia. Having collected and processed sounds on an old reel to reel machine since the age of eight, Gough only began to unleash these sounds on the world in ‘98 / ‘99 – finding release through labels like Meme, Fallt, ERS, Tigerbeat6 and Static Caravan.
