Nosaj Thing does not adhere to any of the preconceptions you may have about hip-hop. In fact, he’s the exact opposite. This L.A. native is a polite kind of chap and a musician who works with a very wide range of sounds.

His influences are undoubtedly producers such as Dabrye, Prefuse 73 or Boards of Canada. But his musical expression is distinctly his own, bridging the gaps between dubstep aesthetics, electronica and new era hip-hop.
He will be joined by France’s Arno Bernard aka Onra, who recorded his ‘Chinoiseries’ album after a visit to Vietnam. It is an album made up of Southeast Asian sound snippets, off-tempo beats and samples that don’t just sound like they are from a different continent, but from a different planet.

If you like Hudson Mohawke, Flying Lotus and wonky, atmospheric sounds in general, you should definitely not miss this gig.
