MaHalla is a venue set in the vast, 3000 qm former turbine hall, with a ceiling height of more than 12 metres. It is the oldest, listed three-phase power plant in Germany, located in the middle of an historic industrial area southeast of Berlin in Oberschöneweide. The walls and the structure have an exceptionally well-preserved patina.
Numerous artists and cultural workers have already settled in what was the birthplace of Fritz Lang’s masterpiece ‘Metropolis’. MaHalla will host three Kiezsalon concerts in August 2021.
