Berlin guitarist FS Blumm is a truly unique talent and the so-called King of Pling will on this occasion present tracks from his brand new album.
Also performing are Springintgut from the excellent Pingipung label. All of which makes this a very fine saturday night double bill.
F.S.Blumm´s music is so idiosyncratic that the popular namedropping doesn´t help that much to describe it. Nevertheless bands and projects like Gastr Del Sol or others who work on the combination of improvised elements with pop-approved structures come to mind, as well as American folk pioneer John Fahey or minimal music representatives Pauline Oliveros and David Behrman for their similar sense of poise and release.

The man behind the project with the strangely playful name is the cellist and drummer Andi Otto. Springintgut has been releasing vivid, melodic Electronica with us since 2002, and also on the City Centre Offices label in Berlin. His first live shows featured a self-built drumkit with books and contact mics.

Nowadays he performs with “Fello”, his own instrument which combines the cello and the computer with sensors on the bow. The “Fello” developments have been supported by STEIM in Amsterdam. He has performed “Fello” live shows internationally, with artistic residencies in Japan and India.
