As part of 33 RPMs regular Haloumi Express series, FS Blumm will give a live performance at Fluxbau this month. Every third Thursday of the month Jeff Özdemir of Faruk Green presents his live projects and bands ranging from pop, elektronic, punkrock, groovy jazz, disco, chanson to Anatolian funk, noise, ambient and folk.
F.S. Blumm | Tonne Takt
F.S.Blumm´s music is so idiosyncratic that the popular namedropping doesn´t help that much to describe it. Nevertheless bands and projects like Gastr Del Sol or others who work on the combination of improvised elements with pop-approved structures come to mind, as well as American folk pioneer John Fahey or minimal music representatives Pauline Oliveros and David Behrman for their similar sense of poise and release.
F.S. Blumm | Sicht
F.S. BLUMM is a Berlin based musician whose main instrument is the acoustic guitar. He has released many solo albums in the past years, and has also collaborated and toured with a wide range of bands and musicians: He took the roles of a bass player with the Quasi Dub Development, a classical guitarist with Old Splendifolia, a songwriter with Bobby And Blumm, a sonic researcher with Nils Frahm and a manic, extrovert Dub mash-up DJ as King Hobby. What he has experienced on these musical field trips he now returns to his solo project.
