Hot on the heals of his new album, Aimlesness, on DJ Koze’s Pampa label the man behind the Post Service and Figurine presents a live set as his DNTEL moniker.
Also performing live is Thomas Fehlmann who through his collaboration with The Orb has recently released an album with Lee Scratch Perry. DJ Support comes from Robag Wruhme, all of which makes for an exceptional night presented by morr music.
James Scott “Jimmy” Tamborello, more commonly known as Dntel, is an electronic music artist. He is sometimes cited as James Figurine, the co-programmer and vocalist for the electropop outfit Figurine. Other projects include Strictly Ballroom,Headset and The Postal Service.

Tamborello has indicated that the name was not intended to mean anything. When asked to create a meaning for it, he quoted it as a shortened version of “Don’t Tell” although he admits that this meaning is a bit of a stretch. There are some speculations on the name being based on the word Accidental (dntel), although Tamborello has not confirmed this origination.
THOMAS FEHLMANN remains as one of the most endearing and respected artists on KOMPAKT. He has inspired generations of fans and musicians over the course of his 30+ year career.
From his early days as part of the legendary band PALAIS SCHAUMBURG, and the pioneering Detroit/Berlin act 3MB (with JUAN ATKINS and MORITZ VON OSWALD), to his longstanding membership with THE ORB, combined with his contributions as a solo artist on esteemed imprints R&S, PLUG RESEARCH and of course KOMPAKT, where he has released 2 full length solo albums, his musical works have been prolific, not to mention four singles and a full serving of tracks found on Kompakt’s POP AMBIENT and TOTAL collections.
