Boddinale at Loophole Berlin / Thursday, 09.02. – Sunday 19.02.2017

Now in its 5th year, Loophole’s short film festival the Boddinale is an unmistakable hightlight of the Berlin underground in winter. Featuring alternative, experimental short films as well as music videos, workshops and performances, get along to Loophole this February for some of the best video art around.

MR. RUDOLPHO’S JUBILEE is the 6th feature film from the independent movie & music team, Bright Blue Gorilla (writer/director Michael Glover and producer Robyn Rosenkrantz). It’s a surreal comedy romance, told by two “Musical Angels”, aka Bright Blue Gorilla as the Greek Chorus.

When a mysterious train accident forces a man to change his plans, he is confronted with a series of choices, some big, some small. Each decision he makes leads to a different sce- nario, each one filmed by a different director with a different cast.

Lotte is impulsive, rough around the edges and leads a colorful life on the streets of Berlin, stumbling from man to man and flat to flat. One night in her local bar she bumps into Marcel, an almost forgotten acquaintance. Just after he recognizes her Lotte takes flight, finding refuge in the flat of her friend.

It started as an homage, Loophole style, at the Berlinale frenzy that takes over Berlin every February. In the community of artists doing things at Loophole several were making movies. We invited them and their friends, and friends of friends to send us their work, with only two rules: they had to be Berlin based and tell a story. That was 2012 and the first edition of Boddinale.
