Antje Vowinckel: In Places of Logic for text projection, electronic organ and amplified objects
Antje Vowinckel is an internationally awarded Berlin-based sound artist, radio artist and performer. Her focus is on the musicality of the spoken word and new combinations of text and music. Her piece »In Places of Logic« consists of eleven projections of text and some graphics with imaginary cities as a topic. The sound environment is based upon her well-tried set up of electronic organ and vibrating and sounding objects.
The trio of vocalist and clarinet player Isabelle Duthoit, drummer Yuko Oshima and cellist Soizic Lebrat is clearly situated in the tradition of free improvised music. It’s characterized by a delicate consciousness for sound and slow and subtle developments. Prudence and boisterous energy don’t have to be seen as contraries in the ideally complementing interplay of these three excellent musicians.
