This time with Dieter Möbius from the legendary German experimental musical group Cluster.

Each artist is asked 11 set questions and to contribute 3 “facts” which can be any statement from them on absolutely anything: their own views on politics, religion, the environment, sport…or just something they read in the paper or saw on TV.

2. How and when did you get into making music?
in 1969 by accident

stop making sence by talking heads,pictures of an exhibition by mussorgskij,
pill,white light white heat,

4. What do you associate with Berlin?
my granma she was born in berlin and dyed in berlin

5. What’s your favourite place in your town?
my home is my castle is my studio is my diningroom

6. If there was no music in the world, what would you do instead?
paint

7. What was the last record you bought?
spooky tooth

8. Who would you most like to collaborate with?

9. What was your best gig (as performer or spectator)?
john cale

10. How important is technology to your creative process?
i love to play around with new instruments without reading the manuals

11. Do you have siblings and are they proud or jealous of you?
my sister and my brother are jealous because of all the trips i am doing

Dieter Moebius is a German/Swiss experimental/krautrock/ambient/electronic musician. Moebius studied art in Brussels and Berlin and met there Hans-Joachim Roedelius and Conrad Schnitzler (Tangerine Dream). They founded a band Kluster in 1969. After the departure of Schnitzler, they changed their name to Cluster. Later Moebius and Roedelius founded the band Harmonia with Michael Rother (Neu!), which also collaborated with Brian Eno.

The next Cluster concert in Berlin is at July 10 @ Volksbühne. Dieter Möbius will play on August 27 in Berlin @ Bar25.
